Ever feel frustrated trying to communicate with your loved one with dementia? This one-hour training will provide you with tools to improve communication and decrease frustration for both the caregiver and the person with dementia. Taught in a fun, hands on class, caregivers will work in small groups or pairs to practice simple communication skills that will strengthen relationships. We will focus on active listening, being in the moment, and learning how to say yes instead of no all the time.
